Yvonne M. Pearson

Yvonne M. Pearson was born to Sam and Emma Herron on February 17, 1940 in Vaughn Mississippi. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 18, 2019 after a short illness. Yvonne enjoyed cooking with her large family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and going to see family. She enjoyed attending gatherings and serving as a Church Mother at her church home, Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ, Freeport, Illinois. She is survived by children: Thomas (Frances) Herron, Katherine (John) Collins, Edmond (Betty) Ellis, of Freeport, IL Shelia Pro of Rockford, IL, Lynette Gossett of Freeport, IL, George Ellis of Herrin, IL, Charles Ellis of Rockford, IL, Richie Ellis of Rockford, IL, Sydney Pearson of Oshkosh, WI, Warren Pearson of Freeport, IL Khadijah Pearson of Rockford, IL. Sisters: Pauline Wentworth of Vancouver, WA, Ruthie Mae Jackson of Chicago and Theresa (Clark) Crutcher of Memphis, TN and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Emma Herron; Brothers: Adam Fry, James Fry, John Herron, Udell Herron, Samuel Herron Jr., Percy Herron and her twin brother Leon Herron. Sisters: Nora Lee (Ollie) Davis, Lillian Kyles, Agnes Fry, George Fry, and Madear Ruthe Lee (Arthur) Dean. Her daughters: Paula (Ernest) Johnson, Rebecca Pearson and a great grandson Alex Shipp. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ 420 Challenge Street in Freeport, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Services will be from 12:00 P.M.-1:30 P.M. Interment will be at Freeport City Cemetery.
