Yvonne "Bonnie" Bade

Yvonne "Bonnie" Bade, Cedarville, died December 15, 2018 at the age of 83. She was born on September 26th 1935 in Puerto Rico to Victor and Mary Dickson Auffant. She was a direct descendent of the Clingman Family, 1837 settlers north of the village. For 62 years she was the wife of Jim Bade, current president of the Cedarville Historical Society. Bonnie, along with husband Jim traveled the world, visiting over sixty countries as well as the entire US. Her love of teaching, travel, history and family is what she will be remembered for. She is survived by her husband Jim, three daughters Wendy (Hal) Gilpin, Galena; Lisa (Pat) Goodwin, Freeport; and Sue (Steve) Myers, Lena, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date. Burial of cremains will be in Cedarville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that because of Bonnie's deep interest in history of all kinds that a memorial contribution be made to the Cedarville Area Historical Society.
