Windell Threadgill

Windell Threadgill, born to Rev. Charles Threadgill Sr. and Octavia (Seward) Threadgill, entered this world on December 14, 1961, in Humboldt, TN.

He graduated from Freeport Senior High in 1980 and dedicated his career to serving the community through his work in the Building and Grounds Department of FSD #145.

Windell shared his life with his beloved wife, Cora (Fletcher) Threadgill, and together they raised two children, LaToya Threadgill Johnson and Wynton Threadgill. Windell was a cherished father, grandfather, son, and brother, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication. Windell will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Nevyn & Maleah Threadgill, Zaden Pittman, Mya Martinez, and Issak Peters. Windell loved supporting his grandchildren in all of their activities.

Windell was predeceased by his son-in-law Calvin Johnson, paternal, and maternal grandparents.

A Funeral Service in memory of Windell will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., at Mt. Carmel MB Church, 602 S Chicago St. Freeport, IL, with Rev. E. Earl Davidson officiating.
