William (Billy Ray) Morgan, 58, departed this life Saturday, November 10, 2012 at FHN Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born on May 6, 1955 in Mississippi, the son of Mac Lane and Louise (Barr) Morgan. William obtained a formal education from the Freeport Sr. High School Class of 1974. He was a certified carpenter at Lena Builders for 25 years and was currently working at Cannova'™s. He spent many years coaching basketball at the MLK Center. Bill loved having BBQ'™s and spending time with his family and friends. William confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He leaves to cherish his many loving memories; three sons, Brad (Mother Becky) Dickens, Rashawn (Mother Ruth)Thomas, James (Mother Jackie) Morgan; three daughters, Rachel (Mother Donna) Morgan, Precious Morgan and Starla Williams (Mother Jackie); five brothers, James (Barbara) Selph, Richard (Maggie) Morgan, Mac Lane (Connie) Morgan, Jeffery Morgan and Trenice (Jackie) Morgan; three grandchildren, Markiez Lacy, Quran Dunn-Morgan and Graze Morgan; a special friend Jackie Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, a special aunt that raised him, Emma Louise Nelson, three brothers, his twin, baby Morgan, Jesse (Margo) Morgan and Dennis (Carol) Morgan. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday November 17, 2012 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Church.
