William C. White, Sr.

William C. White, Sr., 76, of Freeport, died Friday October 12, 2018 at Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport. He was born July 1, 1942 in Savanna, IL, the son of Harvey and Helen (Veme) White. William married Norma Hoover May 2, 1964 in Lanark, IL. William worked at Kelly Springfield Tire Company. He coached Freeport Little League and was a Cub Scouts Leader for many years. William is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma White of Freeport, IL; two sons, Brad White and William White, Jr. both of Freeport; brother, Lester (Lorene) White of Savanna, IL; three grandchildren, Andy (Nicole) White, Kody (Samantha) White, and Christine White; one step-grandchild; one great-grandson; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard. Private family services will be held. Entombment will be in Oakland Mausoleum. A memorial has been established in his memory.
