William "Billy" Charles Harrell

William "Billy" Charles Harrell, 73, of Freeport passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Billy was born December 21, 1949 the son of Grant and Lottie (Coofer) Harrell. He married Paula French on June 13, 2022 in Freeport, IL. Billy worked in the maintenance department at Commonwealth Edison prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Paula Harrell of Freeport; three sons, Carl (Dawn) Tripplett of Belvidere, Tavares Lewis of Freeport, Brandon (Melanie) Harrell of Maywood; one daughter, Fantrances Terry of Freeport; three stepsons, George French, Roderick Jones, Corey Jones; three stepdaughters, Nadine Jones, Sheree French, Mahogany Jones; seven grandchildren plus 43 additional; three great grandchildren; siblings, Steven (Arlene) Harrell of Freeport, Grant Harrell of Austin, TX, Ray (Kim) Love of Freeport, Tommy (Fran) Herron of Freeport, Julie Harrell of Freeport, Sarah (Joe) Shelton of Freeport, Joy (Roy) Sellers of Freeport, Stephanie (Glen) Burrola of Cedar Hill, TX and Greta Harrell of Freeport; along with many nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Lottie Harrell; nephews, Garland and Owen Harrell. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ 420 Challenge Street, Freeport, IL 61032 with Elder Michael Person, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00am until time of funeral service at the church on Saturday. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Freeport. A memorial has been established.
