Wanda M. Mccann

Wanda M. McCann, 91, of Freeport, passed away, Saturday November 5, 2022 at Manor Court in Freeport, IL. Wanda was born January 7, 1931, in Steuben, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Roy and Imola (Groom) Havens. Wanda married Harold Picha and they had six children together. Wanda was employed by Sanitary Dry Cleaners for many years until her retirement. Wanda was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. She was thrilled to see them win a World Series. She also enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, Nascar, and any game show. She loved her family and time spent with them. Surviving are her three sons, Rick (Pam) Picha of Orangeville, Randy (Toni) Picha of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Jeff (Jody) Picha of Freeport; two daughters, Cynthia Squires of Rock City, and Rosemary (Darrell) Hill of Freeport; brother, John (Carolyn) Havens of Hayden, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, Kimberly Squires, Chad Picha, Angie Picha, Todd Picha, Jennifer Picha, Joshua Picha, Jenna Picha, Tammy Schap, Jeremy Picha, Mike Hill and Kim Thruman. Also surviving are 18 great grandchildren and 7 great- great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wynola Havens, former spouses, Harold Picha and Donald McCann; son, John Picha; son-in-law, Robert Squires Jr.; grandson, Robert Squires; and great granddaughter, Tiffany Squires; Celebration of Life will be held at the Freeport Eagles Club on Friday November 11, 2022 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. A special moment of remembrance will be held at 1:00 pm. A memorial has been established in Wanda's memory.
