Walter Nicodemus

Walter John Nicodemus, 63, of Ridott, died December 28, 2010 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. Walter was born in Freeport on April 26, 1947, the son of Harry and Ellice (Hoch) Nicodemus. Walter was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1966-1970. On July 26, 1993 Walter married Carol Fisch in Freeport. Walter worked as a truck driver and was a member of the VFW of Freeport, American Legion of Byron and Good Sam Camping Club. Survivors include; wife Carol, two daughters; Sherie Fisch of Freeport and Angelia See of Wichita, Kansas, one brother, Harry (Colleen) Nicodemus of Galesburg, mother in law Ilene Mailand of Egan, Ill. Also surviving are six grandchildren. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and father in law. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday January 3, 2011 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston with Rev. Bill Blomberg officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs in Forreston.
