Walter J. Pflaume Iii

Walter Julius "Buddy" Pflaume III was born and raised in Freeport IL on January 21, 1956 to Walter J. and Janean (Allen) Pflaume. As a child Buddy along with his brother Dan belonged to the DeMolay fraternity. He graduated Freeport High School in 1974. Buddy could be found skating or working at Skate Land where he first met Kathy. He married Kathryn (Fazio) August 5, 1978. They began a loving life filled with traveling to see light houses, vacations to Disney World and to see family. You could find Buddy working around town, but mostly at Feico MFG INC. or at Stephenson County Sherriff's office. Buddy was a car enthusiast and belong to the Freeport Street Machine Car Club, where he led and participated in Freeport Cruise Nights for many years. You could find Buddy tinkering around or fixing things in the garage or building up his train village in the basement. He enjoyed watching SI-FI movies, Star Wars and Star Trek. Weeknights he was laughing along with Kathy at Big Bang Theory BAZINGA! Buddy's kind and gentle presence will be greatly missed by everyone he came in touch with. He was willing to help with anything at a moment's notice. He was a cub scout leader for his nephew Alex. Buddy was extremely proud and loved his nieces and nephews that he built his life around. His face would light up when his grand-niece Roseanna would come and spend the day with him. Kinzie his Dalmatian dog is already missing him. Buddy was a proud member of the NRA. Buddy is survived by his Wife Kathy; Brother's Daniel (Ginnie) Pflaume of Clinton, NC and Chris Pflaume of Freeport, IL. Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home-Freeport. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
