Virginia Maxwell

Virginia Maxwell, 75, of Leaf River, died Thursday December 8, 2011 at Neighbors Nursing Center in Byron, IL. Virginia was born on December 17, 1935 in Adeline, Illinois the daughter of Shelby and Olive (Kretsinger) Cain Sr. On February 14, 1959 Virginia married Melvin H. Maxwell in Leaf River. Melvin died May 7, 1999. Virginia worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and Treasurer for the Leaf River Schools. She enjoyed Country Western music and her pets. Survivors include; daughter Dana Maxwell of Leaf River, step-daughter Linda(Tom) Biber of California, brother Shelby Cain Sr., two sisters; Vaida Yelinek of Leaf River and Patricia (Elmer) Lingbeck of Egan, Illinois. Also surviving is granddaughter; Brandy (Matthew) Foltz of New Milford and two great grandchildren Justin and Aliyah Foltz of New Milford. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons; Gordon and Gregory Maxwell. Funeral Services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday December 13, 2011 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston with Rev. Larry Jameson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs, Forreston.
