Virginia E. Kentner

Virginia E. Kentner, 67, of Freeport, passed away, Friday, December 30, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born April 9, 1955, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Austin and Mary (Mullen) Scace. Virginia married David A. Kentner, May 5, 1995, in Freeport. Virginia was a 1973 graduate of Lena Winslow High School. She loved listening to country music. Surviving is her beloved husband, David of Freeport; son, Stephen (Cathie) Kentner; two brothers, Sam Scace and Harold Scace; two sisters, Corlyn (Todd) Rutter and Thora (David) Bradbury; granddaughter, Annastee Kentner; and great granddaughter, Milani. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Pastor Eddie Eddy will officiate. Visitation 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Virginia's memory.
