Vila Ruth Giovanelli

Vila Ruth Giovanelli, 103, a resident of Manor Court at Liberty Village, died Tuesday at Manor Court. She was born July 2, 1907 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Frederick and Bertha (Seigle) Doelker. She married Ovidio J. Giovanelli , M.D. on September 26, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. He died July 17, 2004. She worked in the office of her husband'™s medical practice, Dr. Doelker and Dr. Giovanelli for many years. Mrs. Giovanelli was an active member of the Amity Society, she worked at the Freeport Memorial Gift Shop, the Saint Francis Hospital Record Room and also Saint Joseph Home. She is survived by her niece Deborah Doelker of New York, New York and her cousin, Evelyn (William) 'Babe' Osterbrock of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Donald J. Doelker, M. D. and her nephew, Jan Doelker. Visitation will be Thursday, 4:00-7:00 P.M. in Burke -Tubbs Funeral Home.
