Vicki Lynn Heeren

Vicki Lynn Heeren was born February 26, 1945, in Freeport, Illinois, to Gordon (Tony) and Hazel (Earnest) Heisler. She passed away five days after her 80th birthday. Vicki graduated from Freeport High School and was a proud Pretzel. Over the years Vicki worked as an Activity Director for the Stephenson County Nursing Home. She also worked at Rothstein's, JK Salon as well as the insurance and realty business. Vicki loved to travel, including many trips to Laguna Beach. Taking her family to Disneyland and Disney World. She also was able to travel to Paris & New York. She was an avid reader. She loved animals, especially her cats. She had many friendships in the Freeport and surrounding area that she cherished. Most of all she loved being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren and going to their events and activities. Unfortunately, Vicki was not able to know her great-grandchildren, whom she would have thoroughly enjoyed, because of her Alzheimer's.

She leaves behind her son, Shane (Lorrie) Heeren, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Kyle (Megan Cox) Wyatt & Koa Heeren, Taylor (Tyler) Sutton, Brady & Jordan Schaul, and Drake-DJ (Lauren Tapia) Heeren. A nephew, Rick (RaeAnn) and their children, Rachel, Ryan, Reed Heeren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father.

Visitation will be Saturday March 15th at Burke-Tubbs in Freeport at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00. Memorials are established for the Alzheimer's Foundation and the Friends Forever Humane Society.
