Valerie Alice Grimes

Valerie Alice Grimes, 61, of Forreston, passed away in her home on Friday August 25, 2023. Alice was born January 7, 1962 in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of Warren and Patricia (Harting) Susanke. She married George Grimes on April 23, 1994; Valerie worked as a hairdresser and for Cable Printing, Mt. Morris.

Surviving are her husband, George of Forreston; step-son, Jason (Nikki) Grimes of Ashton; step-daughter, Jessica (Chris) Haymes of Davis Junction; three nieces, Casey (Danielle) Schultz, Lauren Susanke, and Nicole Susanke; and four step grandchildren, Megan, Kaitlyn, Robert, and Taylor.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents and brother.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation or memorial services are planned at this time. A memorial has been established in Valerie’s memory.
