TROY (LIL TROY) F. BLAND III, 20 of Freeport IL, passed away suddenly on October 1, 2023. He was born on March 4, 2003, in Peoria, IL, to Troy and Markita Bland.

Troy attended school within the Freeport, IL and Des Moines, IA School District. He was employed at Juniors Place. Troy had a special love for dogs and was very passionate about them. He had hopes of one day owning his own dog breeding business. Troy had an artistic talent, much like his Grandfather and took great pride in painting and drawing. He was so family oriented, you never knew when he would pop up at your house looking for a good meal. Troy always came with the most infectious smile on his face and with generous hugs.

Troy .F Bland I was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Charles Clay and Colette McClain; aunt, Tracy Clay; cousin, Malaysia Wade; best friend, Da'Chino Thurman, and God father, Joseph Coleman.

He is survived by: his Father, Troy Bland I of Des Moines, AI and his Mother Markita Bland of Freeport, IL; sisters: NyTroyana, TroykiaBland of CedarRapids IA, Troyelle, Mi'yana, and Amarah Bland of Des Moines, IA; brothers: Marques Strong of Freeport, IL; ZyTroy Bland of Davenport, IA; and Troyaun Bland of Des Moines, IA; grandmother, Jo Ann Clay of Freeport, IL; grandfather, Troy Bland Sr. of Aurora, CO; great grandparents, Troy and Ida Bland of Rock Island, IL; great grandmother, Dorothy Fair of Freeport, IL; his beloved dog, Dolce'; God parents, Ava Edmond and Cedric Winston; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins along with many special friends.
