Thomas L. Koertner

Thomas L. Koertner, 68, of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday December 1, 2020 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born March 4, 1952 in Freeport, IL to Wayne and Esther (Lytle) Koertner. On January 24, 1989 he married Sharon Rees in San Diego, CA. Thomas was a Fire Fighter for the City of Freeport and owned and operated B & B Electric Co. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Freeport. He is survived by his wife Sharon Koertner of Freeport; brother James (Myriam) Koertner of Oriedo, Florida; and sister Nancy (Bob) Klapp of Dakota, IL. Also surviving are two nephews and three nieces. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Koertner. Due to Covid private family graveside services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established at the State Bank in Freeport for the City of Freeport Fire Department.
