Thomas Gene Miller, 75, of Freeport died Tuesday, October 1, 2019. He was born June 5, 1944, in Galesburg , Illinois to Mary Katherene (Snyder) Hock and Thomas William Hock and was raised by his adoptive parents Carmen Irene (Cozine) Miller and Marcus August Miller. He married Judith Kay (Bankes) Miller on April 13, 1975, in Canton, Illinois. Tom was a millwright for International Harvester, a designer and construction foreman for churches in the Freeport area, a long-haul trucker, a millwright for Vitner's Potato Chips, and a massage therapist. He was a boy scout leader for many years. Survivors include a sister, Frances Joan (Olsen) Floyd; 5 children, Raymard, Robert, and Peter Miller, and Michelle and Michael McNeely; 12 grandchildren, Marcus, Rachel, and Matthew Miller; Max and Marguerite Miller; Heather, P.J. and Isaac Miller and Devin Donigian; Jessica McNeely; Tyler and Marissa McNeely; three great-grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Clark, and Wrigley Love- Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Bankes) Miller; a sister, Mary Jane Olsen; and his parents.
