Terry J. Huizel

Terry J. Huizel, 64, of Freeport, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, November, 15, 2012. Terry was born on May 4, 1948 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Norbert and Frances (Bartusek) Huizel. Terry married Darnell Watts on May 22, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked for 30 years for Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere before retiring in 1998. Terry was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed dirt track racing but most of all spending time with his family and children. Survived by his wife, Darnell Huizel, of Freeport; his little buddy Rocket; mother, Frances Huizel, of Anoka, MN.; sister, Mary Kay Huizel, of Coon Rapids; MN; children, Tracy Huizel of Minneapolis, MN., Krista Huizel, of Fargo, N.D., Sherrie Gowan, of Durand, Larry (Sammantha) Gowan, of Rockford, and Scotte (Dawn) Lemke of Rockford; grandchildren, Megan Huizel, Nichole Hobson, Landon LeMoine, Scott Gowan, Mekenzie Lemke; nieces, Holly (Bob) Kress, Laurenda (Nick) Feldt and great niece, Mikayla Feldt. Also his special friend Mike Donselman. Terry was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday November, 19, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home with Pastor John Hollis officiating. Visitation will be Sunday November 18, from 4:00 p.m. '" 7:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
