Terrie Lee Fuller, 69, of Freeport, IL, passed away Friday August 16, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 17, 1954, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Frank and Betty (Schofield) Wolgan. On August 7, 1976, Terrie married the love of her life, John Fuller in Peoria, IL. For over 20 years, Terrie was employed with the Freeport School District as a Special Education Teacher where her passion for education was evident. She touched the lives of many students and colleagues, and always encouraged those around her to continue their own education.

Terrie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freeport. Her hobbies included golfing, traveling with her family and cheering on her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Rippers and Strippers Quilting Guild, where she had great pride in their philanthropic work.

She is survived by her husband John of Freeport, IL; two daughters Dina (Dillon) Pontnack of Lena, IL and Melissa (Fiancé Ryan Collin) Fuller of Windsor, CO; brother Lance (Karen) Wolgan of Mesa, AZ; and three grandchildren Chloe Bicker, Gracin Bicker, and Dexton Pontnack.

Preceding Terrie in death are her parents and brother Steven Wolgan.

Per Terrie’s wishes there will be no formal services. Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Terrie’s name. Terrie’s family would like to send a special thank you to the team at the UW Carbone Cancer Center for their care and compassion.
