Susie M. Dieterman

Susie M. Dieterman, 95, of Sterling, died Tuesday August 22, 2017 in Sterling. Mrs. Dieterman was born April 19, 1922, in Freeport, the daughter of Dewey and Josie Clark. On June 26, 1943 she married Henry Dieterman of Freeport. He passed away October 19, 1991. She was a housewife who enjoyed her family and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sterling. Survivors include a son Gary (Rose) Dieterman of Freeport; a daughter, Linda (David) Geil of Sterling; former daughter-in-law, Ellen Dieterman of Freeport; four grandchildren, Brad Dieterman of Forreston, Brian Dieterman (Sharity Czologos) of Lincoln, NE, Marc (Kristie) Geil of Sterling, and Emily (Adin) Taylor, Jr. of Sterling; six great-grandchildren Madeline and Paige Geil, Brice and Alena Taylor, and Drew and Kylie Dieterman. Also surviving is brother-in-law, Bob Dreibelbeis of Weaverville, NC, sister-in-law Ute Clark of California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, six brothers, including one in infancy. A graveside funeral service will be 11:45 A.M. Monday August 28, 2017 at Grandview Cemetery, Freeport, with Rev. Leo Patterson of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sterling officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11:30 A.M.
