Susan M. Lott

Susan M. Lott, 59, of German Valley, IL passed away after a short illness (not covid related) Sunday December 13, 2020 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born March 10, 1961 in Savanna, IL to Duane H. and Patricia A. (Murphy) Smith. On October 10, 1981 she married Ricky Lott in Lanark, IL. Sue was employed at Honeywell Micro Switch for 43 years in quality control and management upon retiring in 2020. She attended Lanark Methodist Church and North Grove Evangelical Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed being with her golden retrievers. Sue is survived by her husband Ricky Lott of German Valley, IL; son Ryley (Sarah) Lott of Baileyville, IL; brother Michael D. (Kathleen) Smith of Freeport; two sisters Kathleen A. Zimmerman of Freeport and RoxAnne (Jim) Weik of Freeport; two grandchildren Brixon Lott and Paisley Cordonnier; and two dogs Lucy and Gracie. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and parents. A walkthrough visitation will be held from 12:00-3:00 P.M. Saturday December 26, 2020 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Social distancing and face masks will be required. A private family service will follow with burial in Lanark Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Friends Forever Animal Shelter.
