Susan K. Miller

Susan K. Miller, 76, of Cedarville, passed away, Thursday March 7, 2019 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Susan was born July 11, 1942 in Freeport, the daughter of Milton and Mildred (Branthaver) Finkbeiner. Susan attended the University of Colorado-Denver. She worked for Social Services for the State of Illinois and later in the Nuclear Medicine field in Colorado. She won Ms. Freeport 1963. Susan enjoyed gardening, she loved all animals especially, cats. She served as village treasurer of Cedarville for many years. Surviving are two sons, Darren (Darlene) Van Brocklin of Forreston and Jeff (Jennifer) Van Brocklin of Homestead, Florida; brother, Brian (Jean) Finkbeiner of Polo; sisters, Jan Altensey of Freeport and Sandy (Fred) Witte of Delavan, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jackson Van Brocklin, Kayshla Van Brocklin and Lyndsey Van Brocklin. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Joseph T. Van Brocklin. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday March 15, 2019 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport.
