Shirley M. Moore

Shirley M. Moore, 87, of Freeport, died Wednesday July 11, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Shirley was born February 25, 1931, in Freeport, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Blumenstiel) Campbell. She married Grant Moore in Freeport on August 19, 1949. He died February 14, 1991. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and going to garage sales in her free time. Surviving are her two sons, Bill (Ronda) Moore of Rockford and Monte (Tracy) Moore of Freeport; daughter, Colleen (Mark) Kloepping of Freeport; sister, Marian Barmore of Sun City, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Rose Mary Moore; also surviving are nine grandchildren and eight-great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Moore; son, Gary Moore in 2016; one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday July 16, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Rev. Calvin Haines will officiate. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Sunday July 15, 2018 also at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
