Sherrie Lynn Alich

Sherrie Lynn Alich, 76, of Forreston, died Saturday October 1, 2022, at Walnut Acres, Freeport. Sherrie was born January 22, 1946, in Freeport, the daughter of James and Valborg (Fischer) Monigold. Sherrie married Emil Alich on June 7, 1980, in Forreston. She worked for both Micro Switch and Forreston Auto Body. Sherrie enjoyed reading in her free time. Surviving is her husband, Emil; daughter, Toni White of Forreston; stepson, Marty Alich of Forreston; stepdaughter, Tania Alich of Freeport; brothers, Richard Monigold of Phoenix; two grandchildren, Roger Julius of Sterling and Christine White of Foreston; also surviving are great grandson, Braxton White. Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Roger Monigold; sisters, Sandy Gugger and Margie Shenberger. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 6, 2022, at Chapel of Peace (Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens). Visitation 10:30 a.m. until the time of service also in the Chapel of Peace. A memorial has been established in Sherrie's memory.
