Shelby J. Beach

Shelby J. Beach, 79, of Freeport, IL passed away Friday October 15, 2021 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born at home in Kent, IL on March 28, 1942 the daughter of William and Bernice (Saxby) Pieper. On October 22, 1971 she married James R. Beach at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Freeport. James passed away October 6, 2020. Shelby enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing, the outdoors, cooking, caring for her pets and most importantly spending time with her family. Surviving Shelby is her two daughters Beth (Ali) Al-Shamasawi of Freeport and Jamie Schubert of Galena; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death is her parents, husband James, daughter Dana Louise Beach, and three sisters Phyllis Bons, Shirley Shianna, and Marlene Hodapp. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
