Sarah Dobson Vickers

Sarah Dobson Vickers, 94, of Huntsville, AL, former resident of Freeport, died Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Whitesburg Gardens. She was born in Wedowee, Alabama to Roy and Katie Bernice Dobson. She graduated from Auburn University where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She is survived by her daughters, Rosie Bong (Jerry) of Huntsville and Sue Landry (Jim) of Luling, Louisiana; son, Loyd Jerome (Jerry) Vickers II of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Robert Rawlinson, John Rawlinson, Lindsey Landry and Quentin Landry; and one brother, Max Dobson of Wedowee, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Jerome Vickers. Interment will be in Wedowee, Alabama on April 15 on her 95th birthday. Local arrangements were completed by Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home.
