Sandra Rae Keith

Sandra Rae Keith, 85 passed away on Sunday, August 7th in Davenport, Iowa. Sandra was born to Fred Keith and Arline (Al) Raih on December 14, 1936 in Freeport, Illinois. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1954 and from the University of Illinois. Much of her adult life she lived in Galesburg, Illinois. She was an active member of the community, and was involved in many civic and charitable organizations. Over the years, Sandra was an elementary school teacher, and an owner and operator of several businesses in Galesburg. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Kevin) Smith of Seattle, Washington and son Douglas (Roxanne) Hattery of Davenport, Iowa. She is also survived by her sister Cheryl (Bill) Budenz and her sister-in-law Millie (deceased brother Randy) Keith. Sandra had seven grandchildren. Children of her daughter Diane are Leah Smith and Abby (Reed) Semcken. Children of her son Douglas are Anthony (Kori) Mahieu, Christopher (Kelly) Mahieu, Curtis (Bronwyn) Mahieu, Gregory (Jessica) Mahieu and Travis Hattery. Sandra also has six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12th at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport with arrangements being handled by Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. There will be a reception following the service at the Freeport Eagle's Club. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
