Sandra J. Calderon, 76, of Freeport, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Sandra was born July 24, 1936 in Rockford, the daughter of Clarence and Charlotte (Colvin) Stumbaugh. Sandra married Frank G. Calderon on September 13, 1955, in Quincy, IL. Mr. Calderon died on January 5, 2005. Sandra worked at Micro Switch and was also a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary'™s Catholic Church. Sandra enjoyed gardening, crocheting, bird watching, feeding wild squirrels in her backyard, spending time with her family, listening to Chicago Cubs games and watching the Chicago Bears. Surviving are six sons; Mark Calderon of Freeport, Philip (Holly) Calderon of Freeport, Thomas Calderon (Carmen) of Stockton, Donald Calderon of Woodward, Iowa, Daniel (Vicky) Calderon of Woodward, Iowa, and Timothy Calderon of Hinton, OK.; two daughters, Lisa Calderon of Aurora, CO., and Shannon (Greg) Ditty of Anchorage, AK.; two sisters, Jan (Bob) Kaiser of Lena and Pat (Mike) Milliken of McConnell. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Douglas; and granddaughter, Sandra Ann. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, at St. Mary'™s Catholic Church. Father Robert Camacho will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday; 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Rosary service will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Burke Tubbs. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Sandra'™s memory. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Please sign the guestbook at www.burketubbs.com.
