Sam Migliore

Sam Migliore, 98, of Freeport, passed away, Wednesday August 24, 2022, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Sam was born November 22, 1923, in Lena, the son of Jacomo and Mary (Perone) Migliore. Mr. Migliore married Betty J. Bush in June of 1948. Betty passed away March 10, 2007. Sam was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II in the European Theater. He worked for 30 years at Micro switch. Surviving are two sons, Tom (Sandra) Migliore of Freeport, and Steve (Andrea) Migliore of Chicago; two grandchildren, Chris Migliore and Megan (Fred) Lopez; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Connor Lopez; and special friend, Lois Maher. Sam was preceded in death by parents, wife, brother, Charles Migliore; and two sisters, Eleanor Gullato and Virginia Gullata. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday August 29, 2022, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Gavin Brandt will officiate.
