Sally J. Koch

Sally J. Koch, 68, of Lanark, IL died Wednesday November 21, 2018 at Pearl Pavilion in Freeport. She was born September 12, 1950 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of Lester and Mabel (Johnson) Kielman. Sally married Eugene Koch July 31, 1987 in Clinton, IA. Sally worked at Forreston State Bank, Carroll County Courthouse, Economy Fire and Casualty, and Freeport School District 145. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon, the Lions Club, and the Red Hat Society. She was an election judge and active in Relay for Life. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, and selling raffle tickets, especially at the Shannon Homecoming. Sally is survived by he husband Eugene Koch of Lanark, Il; son, Scott (Michelle) Miller of Savanna, IL; daughter, Sandra Steiner of Savanna, IL; brother, Jerry (Connie) Kielman of Parker, TX; two sisters, Judy (C.V.) Elliott of Cape Coral, FL and Connie (David) Corbett of Palatine, IL; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday November 24, 2018 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 P.M. Friday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her memory.
