Ryan Joe Voss

Ryan Joe Voss, 38, of Freeport, IL finished and won his final race on October, 23, 2021 leaving behind many loved ones, family, friends, race fans along with bowling teammates. Ryan loved his family, friends, racing, bowling, hunting, fishing, camping, truck driving, and working as a mechanic. He was able touch so many lives in the years the Lord let us all borrow him and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Surviving is wife Jessi Voss, step-sons Trevorlee and Austin Veer of Freeport, IL; father Randy Voss of Freeport, IL; mother Lori Peace of Freeport, IL; father and mother in-law Dave and Sue Mowery of Freeport, IL; sister and brother in-law Krista and Justimiano Perez of Dakota, IL; brother Rodney Voss of Freeport, IL; brother in-law Jordan Mowery and fianc Marcedes Thomson of Janesville, WI; step sister Krystin Weber of Wichita, KS; nephew's Joe and Carlos Perez of Dakota, IL; niece's Emily, Justine and Jasmine Perez of Dakota, IL; Trinity Thomson of Janesville, WI; and Ayva Felton of Wichita, KS; grandmother Dorothy Voss of Shannon, IL; aunts Kathy Brenner of Shannon, IL; and Sue Lowers of Sheffield, IL; uncles Ron Martz of Monroe, WI; and Matt Lowers of Sheffield, IL; along with several cousins, relatives, and many friends. Preceding Ryan in death are his brother Jason Voss, grandfathers Howard Voss, Herbert Martz, grandmother Deloris Martz, uncle Claire Brenner and relatives. Funeral services for Ryan will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 30, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Pastor Matt Mitchell of Winneshiek Evangelical Free Church officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. There will also be a visitation held from 4:00- 7:00 P.M. Friday October 29, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial and final goodbyes will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the service. A Memorial and GoFundME has been established in his name.
