Ruthann H Sauer

Ruthann H. Sauer, 84, passed away on September 17, 2023 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL.

Ruthann was born on January 03, 1939 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Willard and Virginia (Eberhardt) Isaacs. She married Richard F. Sauer on May 23, 1959. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2012. For many years Ruthann worked along side her husband, at The 4 Seasons bowling alley in Freeport. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Freeport and then a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena, IL . Ruthann enjoyed cross stich, reading and traveling. She was at her happiest when surround by her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

Ruthann is survived by her three children, Michele (Wes) Kolb of Normal, Kathy (Bob) Jacobs of Valparaiso, IN and Jodi (Matt) Block of Lena; seven grandchildren, Megan (Brian), Lindsay (Keith), Lauren (Alex), Bobby, Katie, Jared and Jensen; six great-grandchildren, Reid, Evie, Lucy, Andie, Finn and Campbell; two brothers, Willard "Bill" (Karen) Isaacs of Ormond Beach, FL and Robert "Bob" Isaacs of Larkspur, CO; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Susan Woods.

Memorial Visitation will be from 9:00am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Freeport with Father Peter Snieg, officiating. Inurnment will be at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
