Ruth Kramer Richards

Ruth Kramer Richards, 93, of Forreston, died Monday December 25, 2017 at DeKalb Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born December 11, 1924 in Centralia, IL, the daughter of James and Fannie (Bryan) Richards. She married Emmet Kramer October 14, 1942 in Kirksville, MO; he died in January of 1974. Ruth and her husband farmed the family farm in Ogle County until their retirement in 1973. She was a member of North Grove Evangelical Church. Ruth loved cats, and enjoyed decorating cakes and crocheting. Ruth is survived by her three daughters, Pam (Wayne) Hayenga of Bryan, TX, Donna (Dennis) Hall of Kingston, IL, and Debra (Phil) Paulsen of Genoa, IL; her brother, Donald Richards of Lyndon, IL; her sister, Jeanette Willis of Lyndon, IL; five grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Hayenga, Matthew Hayenga, Mark Hayenga, Mitchell(Aishwarya Nagajaran) Hayenga, and Bradley(fiance Alyssa Hurst) Paulsen; and three great-grandchildren, Ethan Hayenga, Lauren Hayenga, and Leela Ruth Hayenga. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Ernest Richards; her sister, Marie Zurlinden; and her granddaughter, Kimberly Hayenga. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. Tuesday January 2, 2018 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston.
