Ruth G. Eder

Ruth G. Eder, 92, of Freeport, passed away Monday May 23, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Center surrounded by her family. Ruth was born October 31, 1918 in Freeport, daughter of Henry and Anna (Knoll) Neberman. On May 3, 1947 Ruth and Harold R. Eder were married in Atchison, Kansas. She worked at Micro Switch for 18 years before retiring in 1983. Ruth loved bowling, gardening her flowers and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed going to plays at Fireside in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Survivors include; husband, Harold Eder of Freeport, son; Jeff (Shari) Eder of Freeport, daughter; Cheryl (Michael) Conkey of Freeport and one granddaughter; Sidina Eder (Jeremy Sagen) of Orfordville, Wisconsin. Preceded in death by both of her parents, seven brothers and three sisters. Visitation hours will be Thursday, May 26, 2011, 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of cremains will be at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her memory.
