Ruby Schnorenberg

Ruby (Crawford) (Sisti) Schnorenberg Ruby Schnorenberg, 96, passed away April 15, 2017 at Azura Memory Center in Monroe, Wisconsin. She was born April 30, 1920 in Smithville, Oklahoma, the fourth of nine children of the late Albert and Cecilia (Grice) Crawford. She moved to Rockford, Illinois in 1941 and married Leonard Sisti August 8, 1942. They had four children Jan Geddes, Lynn (Jon) Clemmons, Rose (Alan) Malavolti, and Leonard Sisti. They gave her 29 grandchildren and 22 great-grand children. She married Bill Schnorenberg November 17, 1982. This marriage gave Ruby four caring step-children William (Judi Oldfield), Paul (Kathy) Schnorenberg, and Marcia (Tim) Boehm. She doted on her grandchildren every chance she could. She attended daily Mass and often went to Holy Family's adoration chapel. Ruby was an accomplished golfer belonging to both Ingersoll and Sandy Hallow 18-hole golf leagues. She loved people and loved to tell stories. Ruby never met a person she wouldn't talk to. She will be missed by her family, neighbors, card club, pot-luck group, and church members. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, all siblings, and grandson Willie Malavolti. Visitation will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Freeport on Friday, April 21 at 9:30 followed by Mass at 10:30. Luncheon following Mass. Graveside service at Calvary Cemetery on U.S. 20.
