Ruby D. Thruman-Schauer

Ruby D. Thruman-Schauer, 82, of Freeport, died Friday October 14, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Ruby was born on September 26, 1929 in Rolla, Missouri, the daughter of Archie and Arlene (Hartley) Williams. Ruby married Ralph F. 'Oppie' Thruman on September 14, 1950 in Mount Carroll, Illinois. Oppie died on April 23, 1983. Ruby than married Argean 'Archie' Schauer on January 23, 1988 in Freeport. Archie died on March 27, 1995. Ruby worked at Micro Switch for over 20 years. She was a member of Free Methodist Church. All of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to her. She loved her home on the river. Survivors include; two sons; Jesse L. Thruman and Michael A. (Dawn) Thruman Sr. both of Freeport, one daughter; Dolores K. 'Laurie' (Salvador) Wool of Freeport, two brothers; Edwin (May) Williams of Kansas and Eldon (Sandy) Williams of Rock Falls, one sister Snoma Williams of Rock Falls and former daughter-in-law Jan Thruman of Freeport. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and two sisters Geraldine and Anita. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday October 17, 2011 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home with Pastor Lyle Babcock officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs.
