Roseann E. Beverley, age 92 died peacefully on December 8, 2022 in Oregon, IL She was born November 21, 1930 on a farm in Wyoming Valley, Spring Green, Wisconsin, and graduated from Aquin High School in Freeport, Illinois. Richard "Dick" Beverley and Roseann were married June 4, 1949 in Spring Green, Wisconsin. Roseann and Dick operated Beverley's Market Place in Freeport for many years. After her husband's death in 1989, she continued to operate the Market Place until her retirement in 1991. January of 2011 Roseann had a dream come true to move to sunny, warm Florida. There she enjoyed her long walks, new neighbors, and doing crossword puzzles. She resided there until her illness and returned to Illinois in August of this year. Roseann is survived by 5 sons, Tim, Dave (Ann), Joel (Peggy), Dan 7 grandchildren: Julia (Joe), Rachel (Weston), Angelynn (Aaron), Sara, Seth, Dan, and David; 6 greatgrandchildren: Margo , Austin, Kaden, Gracie, Brady, and Hazel. She will also be missed by her brother Leo Thering, and sisters-in-law, Bernice Thering, and Sharon Beverley Beale and many nieces and nephews. Roseann was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, her son Richard, her parents; Joseph and Rose (Ederer) Thering; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Alice Beverley, brothers, Harlan, Joseph, Louis, Fred and Al Thering; sisters, Sister Josalia, Florence Kraemer, Dorothy Hanson, Joann Nachreiner and baby Mary; sisters-in-law, Mary (Walsh) Thering, Maxine (Harrington) Thering, Ruth (Davis) Thering, Janet Wales, Ruby Beverley, Ellen Beverley, and Virginia Beale; brothers-in-law, Linus Kraemer, Leonard Hanson, Robert Nachreiner, Robert and Ronald Beverley, Wayne Wales, Ronnie Beale. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 17th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freeport. Visitation will be held prior to Mass beginning at 9:30. Services will begin at 11:00 with Father Timothy Barr officiated and burial following at Oakland Cemetery. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the care takers and residents at Shepherd Premier Assisted Living for welcoming Roseann into their home and extending such wonderful care since her return to Illinois. Also to Sherri, Yvonne, Bev and Serenity Hospice for their vigilance during Roseann's final days. Your comforting care was most appreciated. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
