Rosalyn Rosie Fager

August 19, 1925 — August 13, 2019

Rosalyn "Rosie" Fager, 93, of Forreston, passed away Tuesday August 13, 2019 at Generations at Neighbors in Byron. She was born August 19, 1925 in Red Oak, IL the daughter of Charles and Ann (La Buddie) Hirsbrunner. She was a 1943 graduate of Orangeville High School. On October 13, 1946 she married Gerald Fager at St. John Church in Freeport. Gerald passed away November 7, 1978. Rosie farmed the family farm alongside Gerald for many years and was also employed at Phil's Eggs. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Forreston. Rosie enjoyed gardening, playing dominos, dancing, and baking, especially for her grandkids. Surviving are her two sons, Jim (Judy) Fager of Byron and Sam (Robin) Fager of Forreston; ten grandchildren, Michelle (Anthony) Rogers, Jeremy (Rhonda) Fager, Mindy (Ben) Porter, Travis (Keri) Fager, Todd Fager, Jessica (Adam) Fuller, Charlie Lukan, Amber Fager, Kelsei Fager, and Jordan Fager; and 11 great-grandchildren. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Allen, grandson Jake Charles, two brothers and sister-in-laws Glen (Ida) Hirsbrunner and Charles (Helen) Hirsbrunner, and special friend Gene. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 17, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church in Forreston with Rev. Scott Ralston officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Faith Lutheran Church in Forreston.
