Rosalie Ann Nilles

Rosalie "Rosie" Ann Nilles, 71, passed away on September 17, 2023 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL.

Rosie was born on January 17, 1952 in Freeport, IL the daughter of Edwin and Minnie (Weegens) Kilker. She married Mark E. Nilles on August 23, 1974. Rosie worked as a Manager at Parkside Apartments in Mt. Morris and then Ogle County Housing Authority prior to her retirement in 2022. She enjoyed bird watching, sewing and cooking. Rosie volunteered at the Forreston Schools when her children were attending. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother who was also a great listener and advisor when needed. Rosie was the rock in her family’s foundation.

Rosalie is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Mark E. Nilles of Forreston; two sons, Eric (Holly) Nilles of Verona, WI, Joshua (Marcella) Nilles of Venedy, IL; four grandchildren, Timothy (Erika) Nilles, Tyler Nilles, Morgan Strout, Erin Nilles; two great-grandchildren, Levi and Madelyn; one sister, Bonita Rampenthal of LA.

Preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Cody.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 22, 2023 at White Oak Cemetery in Forreston, IL with Pastor Dwight Wise officiating.
