Ronica Sue Bates

Ronica Sue Bates of Freeport, IL passed away on October 21, 2021. Beloved daughter of Lemuel Ronnie Bates and Lillie Sue Bates Steeley. Beloved mother of Devon and Jason Jones of Freeport, IL, Steven Schopper of WI, and Matthew Mcclellan. Granddaughter Mahniya Schopper. Beloved sister of Jaclyn Bates, Bonnie Bates, Jennifer Johnson and David Bates all from Texas. Ronica had several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. Ronica was a student at Southern New Hampshire University. She was preceded in death by fiance Corn McClellah, her grandparents, Lemuel and Louise Bates of IL, Lillian Everett of TN and Frank Everett of FL, her niece Nashika, cousins Sara (Workman) Pemberton of AL and Ross Bates of IN, and Damien Krause of IL. Ronica's time on earth was way too short, but she will continue to live in our hearts and memories. A memorial will be held on December 16 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport.
