Ronald R. Farringer

Ronald R. Farringer, 76, of Freeport, died Tuesday August 30, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born October 1, 1934 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Francis and Faye(Blackert) Farringer. Ronald married Mary Ann Kempthorne on July 19, 1952 in Freeport. Mr. Farringer worked at Kelly-Springfield for 31 years, retiring as a supervisor. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold em on his computer and fishing. Mr. Farringer is survived by his wife. Two sons; Steven Farringer and Todd Farringer both of Freeport. Two daughters; Deanna Pacek and Becky Skeel both of Freeport. Two brothers; John 'Jack' (Norene) Farringer and Robert '˜Bobby' Farringer both of Freeport. Seven Grandchildren; Jason Farringer, Breah Jacobs, Treasure Kahl, Nick Skeel, Heather Farringer, Brittany Thomas and Lyndsey Skeel. Seven Great-grandchildren; Peyton, Christian, Joshua, Elijah, Jayden, Brayleigh and Joseph. Also his lifelong friend Ernie(Shirley) Veer of Freeport. Mr. Farringer was preceded in death by his parents, Two brothers; Francis and Eddie and his grandson Joshua Kahl. Funeral services for Mr. Farringer will be Saturday, 1:00 P.M. in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. Rev. John Hollis will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, 5:00- 8:00 P.M. in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. A memorial has been established in his name.
