Ronald Lee White

Ronald Lee White, 68, of Rockford and former Freeport resident died Monday in his home. Mr. White was born April 21, 1944 in Savanna, Illinois the son of George and Henrietta (Bons) White. He married Carla McLain on May 1, 1998 at Rockford. Ron owned and operated R.W. Excavating for over 30 years. Ron was a member of the Lombardi Club and the Coon and Fox Hunter Club of Shirland, Illinois. He enjoyed camping, hunting fishing, campfires, being outdoors and traveling. Ron loved all his pets, especially his beloved dog; Sami. Mr. White is survived by his soul mate; Carla White of Rockford. Three sons; David L. (Linda Clark) White of Rockford, Troy White of Freeport and Jamie (Denise Reed) White of Freeport. Five brothers; Robert White, Donald (Janice) White, Bill Moore, Kevin Moore and Steve Moore. Eight grandchildren; Nicole White, Alicia White, Alexander White, Jesica White, Trent White, Katelin White, Jacob and Kelsey White. Also six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister; Bonnie Keep. Visitation will be Friday November 30, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Fred C. Olson Funeral and Cremation services, Ltd., North Main Chapel, 2811 North Main Street, Rockford. A Funeral service will be held Saturday, December, 1 at 11 a.m. with a visitation from 10 until the time of service at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, 504 N. Walnut Ave., Freeport.
