Ronald Kenneth Heilman Sr.

Ronald Kenneth Heilman Sr., 75, of Freeport, died Monday, October 15, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Home. Ronald was born October 30, 1942 in Freeport, the son of William and Rena (Fransen) Heilman. He married Carol Stimpson in Freeport January 20, 1962. Ronald worked for Civil Construction and later owned and operated his own cement contracting business. He enjoyed working on old cars and spending time with all of his family. Surviving is his wife, Carol Heilman of Freeport; three sons, Doug (Jennifer) Heilman and Terry (Susan) Heilman both of Freeport and Ronald (Blair) Heilman Jr. of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Nancy Gill of Freeport; four grandchildren, Cody Heilman, Doug Heilman Jr., Jessica Heilman and Michael Heilman. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday October 22, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Sunday October 21, 2018 also at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Ronald's memory.
