Ronald H. Pope

Ronald H. Pope, 67, of Polo died Sunday at Serenity Hospice Home, Oregon, Illinois. He was born September 6, 1945 in Freeport, Illinois the son of Kenneth and Alice (Zier) Pope. Mr. Pope was employed by General Electric in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and retired after 35 years with the company. He served with the United States Army in Germany and Viet Nam from 1966-1968. He enjoyed working on his antique tractors Mr. Pope is survived by his brother, Robert (Sue) Pope of Polo and his sister, Reena (Charles) Newburn; of Springfield, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Kenneth R. Pope. Graveside services will be held at Lanark Cemetery at a later date.
