Rochester Thomas

Rochester Thomas, 79, of Freeport, passed away, Wednesday September 1, 2021, in his home. Rochester was born Jan 29, 1942, to John and Ardena Thomas in Enid, MS. He met and married Annie Fay Reed on Jan 12, 1970, and to this union three children were born. Terrance Thomas, of Freeport, IL, Shannon Thomas, of Rockford, IL, and Tiffany Thomas, of Freeport, IL. Four grandchildren Treycell and Tabria Thomas, and Nigel Woodard-Thomas and Stanley Mosley. He is survived by Two sisters Sarah Pearson of Elgin, IL and Katherine Weatherspoon of Milwaukee, WI. One brother James Thomas of Country Hill Club, IL. Proceeded in dead by Five Sisters and Five brothers. He was a Faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and served on the deacon Board and As Choir President. Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Internment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport.
