Roberta J. Felts

Roberta J. Felts, 87, of Freeport, died, Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Stephenson Nursing Center. Roberta was born on March 24, 1927 in Freeport, the daughter of Robert J. and Geneieve (Lutz) Meyers. Roberta married Leo R. Felts on September 8, 1948 in Freeport. Mr. Felts died on February 17, 2010. Roberta worked at Borchers Clothing Store for 40 years. She was a member of Park Hills Evangelical Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. Surviving are a sister, Garnet Spielman of San Carlos, California; special friend and caregiver for over 14 years, Lynn Fiene. Also surviving is Dan Pattat of Rock Grove, who Roberta thought of like her grandson. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Robert A. (Audrey) Lutz; and her brother-in-law, Rev. Avery (Della) Felts. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Chapel of Peace in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Rev. Tom McClellan will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service in the Chapel of Peace. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the F.H.N. Cardiac Department in Roberta's memory.
