Robert W. Mellnick

Robert W. Mellnick, 50, of pearl City, died Monday March 16, 2015 in his home. He was born July 28, 1964 in Freeport, IL, the son of William and Eleanor (Stewart) Mellnick. He marred Jill Monigold August 5, 1989 in Freeport, IL. Robert enjoyed boating, motorcycling, and hanging out with his friends. Robert is survived by his wife Jill Mellnick of Pearl City, IL; his mother Eleanor (Robert) Becker of Freeport, IL; three sons Tyler (Logan Skeel), Jared, and Kyle Mellnick all of Pearl City; his sister Wendy (Rob Yeagel) Wells of Orangeville, IL; his in laws Bill and Kelly Monigold, and Dale and Pat Schutte; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday March 21, 2015 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Wayne Fisher officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Friday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial of cremains will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A time of fellowship will be held at Scott and Keri Gerke's home 5319 Pearl City Road "casual attire". In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory.
