Robert "Tackie" Peterson Jr.

Robert Lee Peterson Jr. departed this life on January 24, 2018 at his home here in Freeport, IL. Robert was born on August 3, 1951 to Robert and Lizzie Peterson in Tunica, Mississippi. His father preceded him in death. Robert move from Chicago, IL to Freeport, IL to be cared for by his family during his illness. Robert, known as "Tackie" by his loved ones, enjoyed time with his family and friends, but he mostly liked being to himself. Robert loved wrestling and home cooked meals. He will be greatly missed. Robert Lee Peterson Leaves to Cherish His Memories: mother, Lizzie Peterson, six brothers, Cleveland Peterson, Willie James Peterson, Carnell Peterson, Darnell Peterson, Darrell Peterson, and Marvin Peterson; one aunt, Pearl Woodberry; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 3, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
