Robert "Rob" E Koch

Robert "Rob" E. Koch, 49 of Freeport, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center in Rockford. He was born on August 23, 1965 in Freeport, the son of Lawrence and Judith (Graff) Koch. Rob was a car detailer. He married Beth Leverton on September 13, 1990. She died on August 14, 2008. Rob was a 1984 graduate of Freeport High School. He enjoyed fishing, Nascar, and had the pleasure of meeting Matt Kenseth. He was a loving father and cared deeply for his daughters. Survivors include two daughters Ashley and Aleisha Koch; one brother Brian (Kelly) Koch of Freeport, nephew Jordan Koch and two nieces Kiersten and Kortlyn Koch; one sister Annette (Dean) Albert of Freeport and niece Sarah Albert; mother in law Patricia Leverton; sister in law, Michelle (Charles) Pierce, their children Brielle Pierce and Briana (Devontae) Shackelford and their child Kaleah; sister in law Sherri Johnsrud; brother in law Doug Leverton; also many cousins, aunts, uncles. Preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home at 5 p.m. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service at Burke-Tubbs.
