Robert Lee Pope

Robert Lee Pope, 82, of Polo, passed away Friday November 3, 2023 at Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon, IL. He was born August 18, 1941 in Dixon, IL, the son of Kenneth and Alice (Zier) Pope. Robert married Susan Lynn Farberg March 1, 1988, she passed away June 3, 2021. Robert farmed in the Polo area his entire life. He was a member of Pheasants Forever. He enjoyed collecting Oliver Tractors and watching western movies.

Robert is survived by one stepson, Jeffrey (Tiffany) Haan of Pontiac, IL; sister, Reena (Charles) Newburn of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Madison, Avery, and Weston; one niece and nephew; and special friends, Brian and Pam Raab of Lanark, IL.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother, Ronald, and one nephew.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday November 8, 2023 at Lanark Cemetery with Rev. Gavin Brandt officiating. A memorial has been established in Robert’s memory.
